Above the Fray: Cesare Paciotti Already Cleaned Out

Walking in to the Cesare Paciotti sale yesterday in Midtown, we expected to find most of their $30 shoes taken, but we didn't expect it to be quite so picked-over. Flats went for $100, heels for $120, and boots for $250, yet there were hardly any flats or boots to choose from—maybe one size for each style. As per a tipster's report earlier, the shoes were true samples, with worn bottoms. But the pumps and boots that were still available were definitely not your typical ho-hum high heel, and the sale technically does run until Thursday, so if you love the brand, we won't totally discourage you from stopping by. Who knows? You might still get lucky.—Daniella Lavian
