Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you haven't yet strutted on the elevated Meatpacking runway that is the High Line, some stores would be more than happy to outfit you with the goods to look like a fan from way back.
One such shop is Anya Hindmarch's Soho store on Greene Street, which has devoted their single window to showcasing the $150 Friends of the High Line totebag. It's a bit like when she commemorated the Concorde by designing dopp kits for British Airways.
Anya got a chance to visit the construction of the park earlier this year, and now displays proof in the form of a polaroid at her store. Proceeds will help fund park maintenance, but they apparently won't buy you a smile from the workers.
