Today we mourn the passing of another celebrity clothing line. WWD announces that Jennifer Lopez's Sweetface, one of the first and more successful of Hollywood's forays into fashion, will be ending its six-year US run after this season. This marks the third J-Lo label that's folded in recent years—first the original JLo brand in 2007, then the justsweet line, which shuttered last September—but company execs insist all is not lost. The brand will continue to be produced and sold overseas, and WWD was told that, after a restructuring and restrategizing, the company hopes Sweetface will be able to rise again. [WWD, sub. required]
