Isaac Mizrahi understood before pretty much any other designer that working with lower-priced retailers was a wise career move. But now that we're living in an era where even Alexander McQueen for Target seems predictable, the original collab king is branching out under his own name. This August, Mizrahi will open a flagship store for his Isaac Mizrahi New York collection on the Upper East Side. According to WWD, plans for the boutique—his first ever in Manhattan—are still up in the air, but it's definitely going into a brownstone on East 67th Street between Madison and Fifth.
