Yesterday afternoon we stopped by the preview for the Lauren Moffatt sample sale, which officially begins today in Chelsea. We found racks filled with spring/summer '09 dresses ranging from $110 to $160, plus skirts for $60 and tops for $80. Everything comes in flirty pastel patterns that would definitely make sense on your next summer getaway (or party on your roof). Since it was Friends and Family Day, the sale was fairly quiet, but we're sure that as soon as a few people are browsing the racks, the small showroom will feel busy. Note that there's no fitting room and not much space to try things on, although there is a handy sign telling men to keep away. Still, it might not be a bad idea to wear leggings, just in case.—Daniella Lavian
