Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Comme des Garçons BLACK, the limited-edition line designer Rei Kawakubo is rolling out in response to the recession, will arrive in stores this Monday. Crain's reports that BLACK, which is 40% cheaper than regular CDG, will roll out at Barneys, Bergdorf and a Chelsea pop-up shop snuggled under the High Line at 112 Tenth Avenue and 17th Street. How long will the store, and the line, be around? As long as the economic downturn lasts.

Heaven knows we love all things High Line, but we can't quite picture gothy BLACK-outfitted shoppers drifting about the flowers in the park. Perhaps they'll just congregate below.
