Yesterday, the team behind the Brooklyn Flea took another step forward in their quest for total domination of the borough's outdoor market scene with the debut of a new Dumbo flea. The Brooklyn Bridge Flea, located on a 30,000-square-foot lot under the Brooklyn Bridge at Water and New Dock Streets in Dumbo, is a bit smaller than its Fort Greene sibling, but has a similar mix of vendors. We walked through yesterday afternoon, and found plenty of vintage clothing and accessories, housewares, and food vendors (Rick's Picks, Stumptown, Blue Marble Ice Cream). You won't find any pupusas at this one, but in two weeks there will be a stand serving lobster rolls made with fresh Maine lobster.
