Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It's been a while since Calvin Klein successfully caused a stir with one of its ads, but the company is finally back. If you've been to the corner of Houston and Lafayette in Soho recently, you've probably noticed that the billboard's relatively chaste tangle of model limbs has been replaced with a full-on orgy. It's a still from a Calvin Klein commercial (shot by Steven Meisel) that's been banned from US television for being too risque, and it shows a topless female model getting cozy with two men on a couch while a third lolls around on the floor.

Today, the New York Daily News reports that locals are finally starting to take notice. One resident called it "borderline pornographic," and a shopper complained, "They're all misty even." And the accompanying photo shows a scruffy guy standing in front of the billboard holding his seven-month-old Leif and looking mildly taken aback. Good work, Calvin Klein—now you've gone and upset the hipster parents.
