Clothingline's spate of preppy label sample sales continues today with the opening of a Kate and Jack Spade sale. The Spades, while popular, haven't the draw of Tory Burch or J.Crew: there was hardly a line to enter this morning. Once inside, we found a mostly female crowd browsing Kate's signature wallets ($29 to $99) and classic everyday totes. There were also a few racks of women's clothing, including some floral skirts and embellished dresses (which for the most part people ignored), and a limited selection of Jack Spade messenger bags and laptop cases. As much as we love the wallets, we're not pulling out ours until Clothingline's usual end-of-the-week price reductions. Judging by all the boxes of still-unopened merchandise in the back, there will be plenty of stock left.—Daniella Lavian
