MEATPACKING DISTRICT—The Friends of the High Line merchandise just keeps coming! Rag & Bone have designed a vest as part of the uniform for park employees. (They're currently working on a similar jacket for fall.) The designers are also producing a High Line logo belt, which their Christopher Street store will start selling later this month for about $120. [RackedWire]
NOLITA—Not content to serve shoppers a few measly chicken drumsticks, boutique Billy Reid is breaking out the barbecue. Tomorrow from 7pm to 9pm, the store hosts a party in support of Alabama's Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q and the Southern Foodway Alliance, which practices a particularly delicious brand of historical preservation. On the menu: smoked sausage, homemade pimento cheese, BBQ pork shoulder sliders, and hickory-smoked turkey sliders with honey mustard sauce. The Pappy Van Winkle will be flowing, and the band the Monuments will play a show. And not only are these festivities open to the public, but they're free. Southern hospitality, right? [RackedWire]
