In the Window: Marc Turns the Blacklight on Bleecker

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

First a graffitied shell of a car took up temporary residence in the Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique, and now MJ has seen fit to fill his Accessories' store windows with mannequins suffering from blacklight tape bondage.

Even the interior of the store gets a little of that 1997 dorm room treatment, as cheap-o fluoro rain ponchos and neon orange belts catch some blue rays. We believe the only explanation for these lapses in window display awesomeness falls to Marc's recent overdose of Stephen Sprouse-ness. Looks like we're stuck with blacklit duct tape bandage dresses through the beginning of summer.
