An experienced sample sale shopper sends word that the Twinkle sale in Midtown is very quiet today. Her report: "The Twinkle sale was deserted around 2pm. Prices are more expensive than their last sale, but it's in a bigger space this time and is more organized. Majority of sizes were 2s, very very limited selection in 0, 4, 6, 8, 10. Silk tanks and blouses seem to be $50-$70; silk dresses were $78-$179; silk skirts were $70. There's 1 mirror and a dedicated dressing area, but it's still out in the open, only concealed by two racks of clothes. There's limited amounts of jersey and knits ($40-$125). No one was buying -- the deals don't seem to be there." [Racked Inbox]
