Last month, a reader emailed in with a rant about the heavy, awkward doors at Zara's flashy new flagship in Midtown. Her pained tale: "Went in to check it out and almost got knocked over/pulled several muscles/died of wind exposure. They've got double doors at the entrance that are super heavy, very hard to open and the double set up seems to create this crazy wind tunnel." Well, it appears that store execs have finally decided to fix the problem. Tweets Midtown blogger Fashion Herald: "9am - men working on Zara Bryant Park door. Actually had monstrosity off the hinges. So now it will no longer be heaviest door in Manhattan?" We shall see. Any puny-armed readers want to try that door out now, tell us if it's been improved?
