Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Jurors appointed to the Forever 21 copying trial are having trouble coming to a consensus on whether the chain knowingly knocked off Trovata. WWD reports that the jury is currently deadlocked, and that one juror is suspected of "misconduct" by the others. "Judge James V. Selna disclosed in U.S. District Court here that he received a note from the panel expressing concern that one juror was incorrectly applying the law, as well as a perception of misconduct. He did not provide details, but said, 'It’s dangerous business starting to look for misconduct.'"

The jurors will return today, and must begin deliberating on Friday. We're sure that H&M, Topshop and Zara are very eager to hear how this one will be decided.
