NOLITA—Organic e-commerce site Nimli has been running a pop-up shop at 2 Great Jones Street since April, but the time has come for the store to close, which means markdowns. EVERYWHERE—We hear from a tipster that Rite Aid held a conference call on Wednesday to discuss the future of its drugstore empire. "Senior representatives of Rite Aid advised the landlords that they would have to renegotiate the terms of 500 of the poorer performing stores in the Rite Aid portfolio. Over the next several weeks, representatives of Rite Aid are going to contact the landlords of these stores in an attempt to renegotiate the lease terms. In addition, Rite Aid expects that approximately 100 stores will go dark over the next year." [RackedWire]
