RackedWire: Auction Party at Unis in Nolita; Julianne Moore Reads to Kids at Bloomingdale's

NOLITA—To kick off their eBay store, independent boutique Unis is holding an in-store auction of rare and vintage items—well, "vintage" for a label that launched less than a decade ago. The auction runs through June 12, at which point the eBay shop launches. Stop by the shop at 226 Elizabeth Street tonight between 6pm and 9pm for an auction party where you can get drinks, watch a live performance by singer Rebecca Schiffman, and bid on items like the ones pictured above. MIDTOWN EAST—This one's a bit random: Julianne Moore has written a children's book, and she'll be reading from it in the Ralph Lauren kids' section of Bloomingdale's on Saturday starting at noon. She's promoting a charity called Save the Children—Bloomie's will donate 10% of their Ralph Lauren kiddie proceeds that day. [Racked Inbox]
