Now (Almost) Open: Jeremy Argyle Buttons Up Spring

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

With a storefront so purple one could mistake it for Vosges Chocolate down the street, men's dress shirt boutique Jeremy Argyle is all set to open their first shop on Spring Street by West Broadway.

During our evening constitutional on Saturday, we witnessed the store associates busily unpacking and setting their perfectly-pressed and folded shirts in the window and on wooden shelves along the wall. Will Chuck Bass be modeling one soon? It's only natural, seeing as how both the Gossip Girl character and this brand have a thing for violet, and $128 is nothing for Chuck to drop on a single shirt. For real New Yorkers in the midst of a recession however, it's a different matter altogether.
