CHELSEA—The crazy kids at F.I.T. are creating a little competition for Pet Fashion Week by putting on their own dog fashion show called Bark is the New Black. Twenty designers enrolled in the Pet Product Design and Marketing Professional Development certificate program will create looks for dogs to strut down the runway in on Wednesday, April 22nd. The fine print, from the press release: "The pet apparel fashion show is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until April 14 at FIT, northwest corner of 7th Avenue and 27th Street, Fred P. Pomerantz Art and Design Center, Room 130. Non-participating dogs will not be admitted to the show, and flash photography is prohibited." [Racked Inbox]
MICHELLE OBAMAVILLE—The newest Michelle Obama style news: the lady wears false eyelashes. Sacre bleu! The Times Online blows the lid off this huge scandal. "Those eyelashes weren't even trying to look real. No, they were full-on, all-out diva lashes, the kind you normally find on D-list celebrities or in drag-act dressing rooms." [Times Online]
