Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

SOHO—Now through this Sunday, bring 10 cans of nonperishable food to Sigerson Morrison, and you'll get 10% off all shoes. Fifteen cans gets you 15% off, and twenty cans get you 20% off, but that's as high as it goes. Amusingly, people have showed up at the store with 50 cans looking for half-off discounts, but they've been denied. [Racked Inbox]

CARROLL GARDENS—The Brooklyn Indie Market opens for its third year tomorrow at the corner of Smith and Union Streets. The market brings together young, local jewelry designers, clothing designers, and other artisans under a big candy-striped tent; to celebrate its third birthday, some of the stands will mark things down 10%. Stop by Saturday 11am to 7pm or Sunday 11am-6pm. [Brooklyn Indie Market]
