Now (Almost) Open: DVF Southampton

There hasn't been any delay in the summer temperatures arriving and so there won't be anything holding back this Friday's grand opening of the new Diane von Furtstenberg boutique at 53B Jobs Lane in Southampton. This morning, the ever-informational Inside DVF Blog posted the first preview picture of the interior of the shop, and it looks more than bohemian; it looks ready to welcome the be-kaftaned exodus coming in the next month as New Yorkers head out to their Hamptons summer shares.

This boutique makes a total of six for DVF in the USA, that is, if you don't count her two outlets. When it comes to summer hot spots, however, this is only her second resort store after the jet set DVF shop in Saint Tropez on the French Riviera. Although we'd prefer shopping on the Côte d'Azur to the Hamptons any day, at least now we can land an emergency wrap dress in either locale.
