That is bad news for upscale tile, tub, toliet and fixture retailer Waterworks, which on Friday closed its impressive Broome Street showroom. A tipster writes, "Another sign of the deepening recession: Waterworks, purveyors of expensive tile and plumbing fixtures, has closed their Soho location. Could this also be the first stage in the – gasp – degentrification of Soho? No, probably not, but makes a good post." Speaking of fancy Soho tile retailers: How you doing down there, SICIS?
