JERSEY CITY—Blog The Life Vicarious spots the mystery hut above in the Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City, which was rumored to be getting an Apple store this year. Could the kiosk be that store? Maybe. "The kiosk hasn't show up on the Apple website as a retail location, but when one considers Apple is reassessing their retail strategy, we have to wonder if this is the foreseeable future of high end mall shopping." CHELSEA—There's still no word on what will replace the shuttered Balducci's at 14th Street and Eighth Avenue, but Gourmet Garage has made an offer on the space. Consider this one developing. [RackedWire]
