Transsexual nightlife character Amanda Lepore has released her own fragrance. It smells a bit like champagne (with notes of "steamed rice, mandarins, bergamot, orange flowers, strawberry and cucumber"); comes packaged in a round, sparkly bottle; and retails for $950. “'People will now recognize it, even before they see me,' Ms. Lepore said. They might not soon forget, either, as the scent has a tendency to hang around, even when the party is over. 'It’s fermented,' she said." [NYT]
