What Recession: Long Lines at Supreme Launch

In at least one corner of the retail world today, cash registers were ringing like crazy. This morning brought the launch of streetwear brand Supreme's spring collection. A tipster writes, "Today's the best day of the year: Supreme launch aka Christmas. The scene was ridiculous. HUGE lines, wrapped around Jersey Street. Lots of campers in head-to-toe Supreme. It's really a fucking who's who of streetwear." As for why people are lining up for the new collection, when most of it will be restocked after today, "honestly for a lot of these people it's the camaraderie."
