Topshop vs. Kitsuné: There DOES seem to be a strong resemblance

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

SOHO—A reader points out that the free totes Topshop has been handing out across the city (we counted three in McCarren Park alone this weekend) bear a curious resemblance to the liner notes of albums by the French record label Kitsuné. Maybe they're by the same uncredited artist? Three days before it launches, Topshop is so unassailable that we're having trouble even suspecting foul play. [Racked Inbox]

CHELSEA—If you hurry, there's still a chance that you'll be able to catch Dressed to Kilt, a fashion show taking place tonight to honor the longstanding tradition of men in skirts. The event begins at 7:30 at M2 on 530 W.28th Street, and it's hosted by (per the website) "Sir Sean & Lady Connery." [NYT]
