Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

EVERYWHERE—This Sunday Saturday evening, Whole Foods will turn down the lights in each of its locations. The supermarket hopes that when its single shoppers lock eyes in the gloaming over the mixed baby greens, they'll make a love connection. But this isn't entirely about romance—it's also eco-friendly. Per the press release: "From 8:30 to 9:30, Whole Foods Market locations will turn off computers, printers, unoccupied office lights, 'back of house' lights and all in-store case lights, while making periodic announcements to notify customers about the importance of Earth Hour." That should really set the mood. [Racked Inbox]

LOWER EAST SIDE—The Umbro jersey launch at the Reed Space on Friday now has a starting time attached to it: 7pm. The store will also screen England's soccer game versus Slovakia on Saturday the 28th at 12pm. RSVP to umbro@thereedspace.com if you're interested. [Racked Inbox; Previously]
