Two weeks ago, Japanese designer Hogo Natsuwa quietly opened his second New York City boutique for his colorful womenswear label Callalilai by Aoyama Itchome. The shop sprung up in the storefront that had formerly housed Kinnu—the space that we thought would be snapped up by Lolli by Reincarnation. The store feels a bit airier than the brand's Boerum Hill flagship, and houses all sorts of springy attire, like beautifully printed cotton dresses ($79 to $109), silks ($139 to $349), and leather handbags and a small assortment of jewelry. A nice decor touch: The two antique couches, which provide seating for tired shopping companions.
