Okay Kiehl's, you win. This press release headline—"Woman with the Longest Legs Shaves at Kiehl's to Benefit Lower Eastside Girls Club"—is bizarre enough to blog about.
Shops pull all sorts of weird marketing stunts, but this takes it to another level. The bath and body product company has hired the woman who holds the world record for longest legs and asked her to shave those stems for charity. Here's how it will work: "Kiehl’s will donate $44.00 to the Lower Eastside Girls Club for each shaving stroke. (Because Svetlana’s legs are 4 ft., 4 inches!). High School members of Lower Eastside Girls Club will be present to count shave strokes." The event will take place on Thursday, March 5th from noon to 5pm at the brand's flagship store on Third Avenue and 13th Street in the East Village; the hair removal madness starts at 4pm.
