Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Newly-upscale Bond Street—which in the past year has become home to salons (Eva Scrivo), boutiques (Billy Reid) and pop-up shops (Iisli)—welcomed another retail presence over Fashion Week. The Smile, "a mixed use concept store and cafe by Carlos Quirarte and Matt Kliegman" (of Earnest Sewn), opened Thursday with a star-studded fete attended by Mary-Kate Olsen and Kirsten Dunst. Should you not care to shop, eat or drink, the place also has a tattoo studio in the basement. [FWD; Pipeline; Black Book]
