RackedWire: Refinery29 Curates the Brooklyn Flea; Walmart and Best Buy Eye Union Square

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

DUMBO—This weekend's Brooklyn Flea is curated by our friends over at Refinery29. We'll let them explain: "We're bringing some of our favorite boutiques-friends with us including In God We Trust, Thistle & Clover, Smith + Butler, and Honey in the Rough. Shop top-notch R29-approved goods—including I.G.W.T. jewelry, discounted designer clothing, and much much more." The winter Flea is at 81 Front Street and Washington Street, and it runs 11am to 6pm both Saturday and Sunday. [Refinery29]

UNION SQUARE—Would you rather see the 14th Street spaces soon to be vacated by Circuit City and the Virgin Megastore be taken over by a) Walmart or b) Best Buy? The Villager mentions both of them as potential tenants, but don't start protesting quite yet—nothing's been confirmed. [The Villager]
