Warehouse Party: Shoes Are the Scene of the Crime

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Once again, we return with a full review of the show section at the Barneys Warehouse Sale, complete with original and sale prices for your drooling pleasure. As it was in clothing, shoes are much worse this season as most of the good styles sold out during the Barneys store sale (compare to last year's shoe review). Despite this, we did manage to dig out some stunner pieces, right along with the clunkers.

During these first few days, it looks as though the Marc by Marc Jacobs, Sigerson Morrison, and some surprise Fendi flats have the lead in terms of value. Flats, which went like wildfire last season during the summer sale, have been replaced by boots as top sellers, as we counted many women toting around crazy large boot boxes ready for checkout. Watch out for the damages already (velvet and suede don't perform well on metal shelves) and be sure to let us know if you snagged any bargains.
