Target's Meatpacking Drive-Thru Spiffies Up For Friday

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If Target is going to doing a drive-thru for their holiday pop-up shop, then you best believe that we can't resist a little late-night pass to check on the progress. And what progress they've made!

The little brick shop sits directly beneath the southernmost entrance to the High Line, at the intersection of Gansevoort and Washington Streets, and with hardly any space to actually display products, it looks like you'll be purchasing the (already gift-wrapped) options after pointing them out in the displays on the side of the building?we;'d say there's a pretty slim chance of changing rooms.

But what we did definitely see at the pop-up last night during our spying?aside from a robe, a neck pillow, and kids ride-on toys?were two Rodarte items in the cases?the sparkly ribcage dress and the coral slipdress. We expect bow belts and the black halter top as well, but we'll just have to wait and see when the shop officially opens (with an appearance by Rachel Bilson) on Friday at 9:30am.
