Sephora is testing out make-up vending machines in some J.C. Penney units that are too small to have their own freestanding Sephora stores. They have a curated selection of Sephora's most popular products from brands including Bare Escentuals, Korres, Smashbox, Juicy Couture, Dior Beauty, Philosophy, Peter Thomas Roth, Murad and StriVectin. The machines do take credit cards, and the test is going on through spring to see how well they do in those locations and what their potential may be. [WWD, subscription required]
