Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Metropolis Vintage, that big thrift store on Third Avenue and 10th Street, has added a second floor. We always think of Metropolis as college central, and apparently that's not a coincidence. "The second level is part of a brand new expansion that coincides with the recent openings and current dorms in the area including NYU, Parsons, New School, Cooper Union, and the School of Visual Arts," the stores owners write on their recently-launched blog.
