Have you heard of Hedi Ferjani? No? Well, you might not know the name, but you could know the face; he's designer Erin Fetherston's man and an artist on the rise thanks to his connections and some pretty interesting pieces.
After a summer show at the new Michali Fine Art gallery on Orchard Street, we were wondering where Hedi would pop up next, and, as it turns out, it's in the window of the Calvin Klein Collection store at Madison and 60th Street. His installation, "Cosmic Dust," is a full (realistic looking) spacesuit rotating, while surrounded by jet black walls punctuated with light stars.
We could say that it bears a strong resemblance to the astronaut installation that Moschino placed in their gallery-like window last year, but Calvin Klein's version doesn't include a little peacoat-wearing chic alien. Anyway, we can't find any more information on the Ferjani piece, including how long it'll be around, but it is a welcome quirky addition to window shopping down Madison.
