Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

GARMENT DISTRICT—Nylon reports back from their appointment with destiny, destiny in this case being the Rodarte sale at the Ace Hotel. They don't have much to say about prices or selection, but they did publish some lovely photos of raggedy knit vests and strappy, chain-wrapped heels. But don't be too sorry if you missed it. Writes a reader: "The sale is ok, but not worth going out of your way. Only a few styles of shoes were available for $400 (NOT the studded ones), the gloves were leather/suede and very plain, a few styles of sweaters & cardigans, and some of the Colette/Rodarte tees and a tote, which didn't appear to be discounted. VERY small selection. Discounts not that great on the knits at $800+. Probably less than 40pieces total for sale. It felt like shopping someone's closet. Andy is a doll though." MEATPACKING DISTRICT—Tonight until 8pm, shirtmakers Rebecca & Drew are hosting a party with stylist Sarah Shirley. Stop by 342 W. 13th Street to drink prosecco and shop their collection of obsessively tailored shirts. Proceeds go to the mentoring program at the High School for Leadership and Public Service.
