We were surprised to follow a link and find these Erickson Beamon earrings on Free People's website the other day. Of the things we expect Free People to deliver—flirty dresses, ribbed tops—"edge" isn't necessarily on the list. These gem-encrusted "Duchess of Fabulous" earrings seem to be shooting more for that sartorial gray area between "high fashion" and "Lord of the Rings costume," and we kind of love them. At $488, the price is sad-making, but we'd happily settle for just one. What do you think? Are these chic, or just crazy?
