Reference to current events? Check. Hilarious pun? Check. Hard-to-miss whiff of moralizing? Oh yes. This morning, sportswear brand Le Tigre plastered their first big billboard in years high above the West Side Highway, and it bears the distinct mark of their parent company, Kenneth Cole. The ad promises that 20% of their polo profits will go to non-profit The First Tee, which promotes "character development and life-enhancing values"—for example, the value of not having lots of media-hungry secret girlfriends—through the game of golf.
