Disappointed at the DSW Union Square selection of smaller sizes and none of the Prada boots promised on their website, we hightailed it down to Manhattan's other DSW, in Battery Park City.
Trekking down here and up to the not-very-well-labelled third floor store in with movie theaters was a waste. Finding the damn store is half the trouble, and the other half is not finding any Balenciaga therein. Instead, on a little table up towards the front, there are a few styles of $99 Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes, and one pair of $199 (size 36) boots.
It's only worth it if you're a parent with a teenaged daughter who likes nice shoes and might squeal and love you forever if you surprised her with MJ shoes for Christmas. You'd pay more for Steve Maddens! And thus concludes the day's Balenciage scavenger hunt. If anyone find the gartered Prada boots from the Fall runway collection in a size 41...you know where to find us.
