American Apparel is getting into the beauty business with a line of nail polish. The line comes in 16 colors and retails for $6 apiece or $15 for a pack of three. The line is inspired by the company and its operations, with colors like a bright red "Downtown L.A.," a black called "Hassid," and a light mint green called "Office" which sounds like it might be weighing in as a competitor for Jade, Chanel's color of the moment.

"We think this nail polish captures what American Apparel is all about — a Made-in-the-USA, high-quality product in a beautiful range of colors," American Apparel creative director Marsha Brady told WWD. We're going to continue to quote her whenever possible, because we still laugh at American Apparel having a creative director named Marsha Brady.
