On Sale at Mina NYC, Big Name After Big Name

We were a little wary about entering Mina NYC's sale today, thinking it would be one of those "sales" where you go, look at the price tag, and still get a severe case of sticker shock. Thankfully, Mina gave us an exception (for the most part). Normally an outlet for stylists, this East Village shop gives people an opportunity to buy discounted clothing straight from the Albright Fashion Library, a notable source for celebrity events, music videos, editorials, and more. Translation? Lots and lots of Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier, Chloe, and Narcisco Rodriguez thrown in with some Fendi, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Valentino.

A quick peek led us to a couple of noteworthy items: Purses included a fabulous quilted Marc bag for $400, a Chanel knapsack for $400, and loads of Dolce & Gabbana. Shoes ranged from Moschino to Manolo Blahnik, though they were usually the most thoroughly worn. Still, a couple of good pairs were available for the taking. Dresses were the biggest winners, mostly within the $200—$300 range, but they are ridiculously fashionable pieces. Most of the sizes available were 0—4, but there were options up to size 12.

If none of this tickles your fancy, try the outerwear rack for fur, leather, and puffy outerwear pieces (we love the Chloe leather jackets). Otherwise, some very chic suit separates were available, as were some gorgeous Jean Paul Gaultier knits. Plus, half of the sale is an additional 20% off today, which is even more of an incentive to stop by.
