Last-Minute Gifts Galore at the Anna Sheffield Showroom

After walking through SoHo in the freezing cold, we were more than happy to see the smiling faces (and delicious apple cider) at Anna Sheffield's showroom on Lafayette. Sheffield and a couple of her gal pals (Lindsey Thornburg, Anne Apparu, and Ortolan Organic) have teamed up to throw a last-minute sale-cum-holiday-party. We were told to expect apple cider and rum tomorrow from six to eight o'clock, but that's another story entirely. For now, the sale (at the wide price range of $9 — $1,500) is what's really keeping us warm.

A look at the Bing-Bang and Anna Sheffield Collection jewelry lines was more than tempting, with pieces like statement rings and gorgeous necklaces. Sheffield is also offering gift certificates for customized jewelry (which is the latest addition to our list, boyfriends). Next to that were the Native American chic cloaks of designer Lindsey Thornburg. While those warm-looking wraps were getting all the attention, the floor-length, bedazzled dress is what really caught our eye.

Sheffield also recruited Dossier Journal to partake in the sale. They set up shop with clothing by Samantha Pleet, Duskin, and more. Accompanying the artsy clothing were some fabulous artsy photograph books, as well as gift subscriptions to the magazine. But it was our noses that led us to Anne Apparu, who has put together an entirely organic holiday collection of treats and goodies. Including in her gift options were truffles, some sort of organic potpourri, and a treat-mobile. Set us up with her cider and fudge, one of Thornburg's wraps, and the organic-dye pillow and blankets by Ortolan, and we would never leave.

The holiday sale runs through Saturday, and is open from noon to eight o'clock through Friday, and Saturday from two to seven at 153 Lafayette Street (Buzzer Four) between Bond Howard and Grand.—Phillip Picardi
