RackedWire: Be a Friend at L'Oreal's Friends and Family Sale; Madewell Throws a Vintage Party

CHELSEA—One flight up from the Catherine Malandrino sale at Metropolitan Pavilion is the L'Oreal friends and family sale. They claim you need a special flier to get in, but no one was checking when we went to investigate. Stock includes items from Kiehl's, Lancome, Armani, Vichy, Roger & Gallet, and Shu Uemera, although much of it may be cut-outs, since we didn't see any of our favorite products. Prices range between $5 and $20 and there is a limit of six of any item. [RackedWire]

SOHO—There are a ton of shopping events tonight, but the Refinery29/Madewell party sounds like a standout. From 7pm to 9pm, the Madewell shop at Broadway and Broome will be stuffed with vintage clothing hand-picked by Refinery's editors. All proceeds go to Williamsburg's BARC animal shelter, and the ladies of Au Revoir Simone will be DJing, leading us to believe that a lot of the hipster shoppers at the Rachel Comey sale will be heading down to Soho directly afterwards.
