Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Starting on Monday, Topshop is looking to make your holiday shopping a little easier, or at least to make you more likely to do your holiday shopping at Topshop, so they're setting up a little beauty stop-in-shop in their SoHo location. For one week, shoppers will be able to drop by the dressing rooms to get their hair done with John Frieda products, get a quick polish change, and even get their makeup touched up. All those services will be free, and there will be beverages and magazines to really drive home that "I'm at the salon" experience.
