Uh oh. The first report from the Proenza Schoulersale has come in, and the situation does not sound pretty. We quote: "Total bust. And not just b/c it started half hour late. Almost everything was left over from last seasons. And prices were a lot higher than usual. There were things from the summer sale that were higher than what I paid then. (Pretty much nothing new except a few pairs of runway shoes in small sizes and a couple of velvet dresses that were $1400). Lots of those layering tees they always have, but they were $90 each. And no real samples, which are usually the best part of this sale. No bags or sunglasses. I suspect they sold their real overstock to Gilt or someone. Ugh. I'm mourning the loss of my previously fave sample sale." [Racked Inbox]
