We knew the Upper West Side's Apple Store was due to open in November, but now blog ifoAppleStore gives us a possible opening date: "Tipsters say the store could open on November 20th, coinciding with Apple’s preference for a 6 pm Friday opening for its high-profile stores." Apple has carved out a plaza in front of the store where a crowd can gather on opening day, and they're busy training staff to deal with crazed iPhone fans. Also newly equipped to handle the crazies: Security guards, who are already patrolling the sidewalks. The blog also brings us some new photos, including the one of the store's curved glass roof above.
