NOLITA—There ought to be a word that means "gimmick" but doesn't have the same negative connotations. Until someone invents one, though, we're just going to continue being wordlessly impressed with cute new boutique Babel Fair's continual ability to distinguish itself from many equally cute neighbors. UPPER EAST SIDE—Two new editions to the rotating retail carousel that is Madison Avenue: J.Crew plans to open its first weddings-and-parties shop at Madison and 66th, the former home of Krizia. Meanwhile, Coach just signed a lease for their first Coach Reed Krakoff store, which will bring the new brand's clothing and accessories to the former Miu Miu space on Madison between 69th and 70th.
