Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

THE INTERNET—In all the Steven Alan chaos yesterday, we neglected to mention the first sale on Swirl, DailyCandy's new sample sale site. Like Lucky's new e-boutique, the shop takes a lot of pride in its curated nature, but it launched with a surprisingly under-the-radar brand. Writer Doree Shafrir blogged, "I gotta say, I wasn’t super impressed by the debut: a designer I’d never heard of selling overpriced cashmere. DC’s gonna have to step up their game if they want to compete with the gajillion other sample sale sites out there." Agree? [The Doree Chronicles; Previously]

LOWER EAST SIDE—Local shop Dangerous Mathematicians, which specializes in custom clothing, is packing up for a big move to Brooklyn. Tonight, join them starting at 9pm for a White Party—wear white, drink white Russians, and enjoy free white wine all evening long. There's a sale element involved, too, of course: Starting at 8pm and running all the way through Sunday, get 70% off their coats, jackets, and dresses. Lingerie sets are on sale for $10 to $20, select burnout t-shirts are going for $20, and stockings and other small accessories are $5 and $10. The store's soon-to-be-former home is at 176 Rivington Streets between Clinton and Ridge. [Racked Inbox]
