In just a few days, Lucky magazine will kick off its annual Lucky Shops event, a giant expo starring labels like Botkier, Foley + Corinna, and Vena Cava at serious discounts. We've got two tickets to the preview night November 5th plus a VIP gift bag stuffed full of cosmetics and jewelry (and valued somewhere between $500 and $750) for the winner of today's contest.

Here's what you have to do: Send us your favorite secret shopping tip. Is there a certain salesperson who always gets you the good stuff on pre-sale at Saks? A consignment shop in Queens that has a direct line to the closets of the Upper East Side? A magic word you can mention at a certain boutique that gets you instant discounts? We'll even toss off a tip to get you started: They don't publicize it, but J.Crew will knock 15% off any purchase, any time, any where, if you can prove you're either a teacher or a student.
