Now now, Saks Fifth Avenue isn't exactly at the Bergdorf or Barneys levels for their window displays, but their current case of the Brunello blahs further dampened our already misty weekend.
All of their windows sport equestrian and Italian country-inspired looks from Brunello Cucinelli, in partnership with the Forum of the Arts in Solomeo and the Region of Umbria. If you look beyond the cashmere cardigans and beige sportcoats, you will see some lovely Italian art and artifacts?the northern corner window even sports illuminated manuscripts?but that's assuming that the passers-by will be attracted to look in at the windows, which they simply aren't. Sorry, Saks.
